About ME

Hi there. I'm Maggie.

I'm a Yoga teacher (E-RYT 200, RYT-500, RPYT, YACEP), freelance writer, mother and avid traveler with a home base in Austin, Texas. It has been my privilege to teach public yoga classes since 2016 and I have experience and training in Vinyasa, Alignment, Power, Prenatal and Postnatal.

Currently I specialize in perinatal yoga and have found a deep calling to support birthing people in their unfolding journey of parenthood. My own experiences coupled with my continued learning and trainings help inform my compassionate, person-centered, trauma-informed approach to teaching. I believe that the body is a gateway to understanding ourselves more deeply and healing ourselves more fully. I also firmly believe in the need for both personal empowerment and community support throughout our lives, especially during the transition to becoming a parent (whether for the first, third or sixth time!). It is my mission to create inclusive, warm and uplifting community for those bearing and bringing life into the world, understanding that pregnancy and birth is also a time of profound personal transformation.

From Students

"Maggie has been one of the best yoga teachers I've ever had. She's great at listening to needs and incorporating those requests into the class, whether it's a relaxing session of stretches to a combination of poses and core workouts to make you sweat. One of the best things about Maggie is her gentle guidance to help you improve form and posture. I always leave her classes feeling so connected and rejuvenated." - Carrie H.

"I've been taking classes with Maggie for over a year and always look forward to being taught and guided by her in my practice. She does an excellent job at listening to students' needs and requests, so I always got exactly what my body and mind needed. I couldn't have asked for a better yoga teacher to make me fall in love with yoga all over again and in a whole new way. I highly recommend taking her classes because you will not be disappointed and will always leave class feeling refreshed and enlightened!" - Brooke B.

"I had the privilege of practicing yoga with Maggie every Friday for about a year where each one hour session always gave me exactly what I needed. Over time, those classes that I cherish so much not only improved my strength and challenged me physically, but also gave me confidence in my yoga journey and a greater peace of mind that I've carried with me in other classes and day-to-day life. It doesn't hurt that she's a lovely and inspiring person, either." - Cheyenne D.
